今季CLで躍進を果たしたビジャレアルは7月15日に控えているインテルトトに向けてトレーニングを開始する7月3日までバケーションを取ることに。これを受けてW杯に出場しない選手たちは約2ヶ月のロングバケーションを取ることが許されている。
キャンプはカタルーニャにあるフィゲロスに近いナバタで行い、幾つかの練習試合がくまれており、その中でもリバープレート、リバプールと行った豪華な大戦も控えているとのこと。
